Just like the rest of us, actresses have their good days - and their bad days. But unlike the rest of us, they also have stylists, makeup artists and hair dressers tending to their beauty needs - not to mention major world-class designers. Not that any of these ladies ever looked BAD - but this Sunday night, they looked particularly amazing.
10. Vanessa Williams in Escada- She's a great looking lady, but she's often gone way too far with her hair or her gown. At the SAGS, she got it all right for a change.
9. Marcia Cross in aqua Monique L'hullier - The striking red head often wears dresses that overwhelm her fragile figure. This slim-cut slithery number was just right.
8. Jenna Fisher: The star of "The Office" really radiated in a blue Colette Dinnigan gown with beading - where she normally fades into the background
7. Teri Hatcher: The "Desperate Housewives" star has the same look at every show: tight gown, long messy hair. At the SAGS, her hair was neat and starky, and her Badgley Mischka gown with its pale print was new and fresh looking.
6. Jamie Lynn Sigler: The Sopranos' Meadow really shone in a two tone Calvin Klein halter with a white top and blue skirt
5. Marion Cotillard: We don't know what she normally looks like, because the French star of "La Vie En Rose" - which utterly transformed her into eyebrow-less Edith Piaf - didn't get to shine at the Golden Globes. But in a pale strapless Nina Ricci grey gown with a tight waist and full flowing skirt, she could be the new Audrey Hepburn.
4. Glenn Close: Was this the same woman who wore cropped hair and mannish pantsuits on "Damages"? In a slinky Armani strapless gown, she showed off her buff bod and her waved hair made her look like a great star of the thirties.
3. Sara Ramirez: The Grey's Anatomy star has never looked this good and this sexy, in her purply Angel Sanchez gown and her hair up. Our suggestion: Sara - get a new hairdo and you look better without bangs.
2. America Ferrara: She has looked pretty at awards shows - but in her grey one shoulder gown with lace and her hair back, she was a knock out. Vanessa Williams, look out! Betty needs a promotion -perhaps to editor in chief.
1. Tina Fey: Note to Tina: the glasses are cute - but on the red carpet, you looked killer without the specs, and with your hair swept back and that chic little black dress. It's cute to be a funny girl - but it's divine to be a gorgeous girl. And who says you can't be both????
