Names like Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen, Lanvin, Valentino, Carolina Herrera, YSL, Vera Wang and Michael Kors are sure to turn up turning the magic carpet ride. One thing's for sure – with this being the only sure-fire hot red carpet, we will not see too many designer names repeated. No actress wants to be one of a set of ladies in Lanvin, no matter how gorgeous and desirable it is. There will also be plenty of beautiful vintage gowns from Decades and The Way We Wore, L.A. vintage stores with incredible cache and awards show credentials. Wearing vintage means you are no copycat, and that you have impeccable taste. But it also usually means you have to pay for your own dress – big designers will gift gowns to nominees, but vintage stores don't have those budgets.
